New graphic displays telling the story of the Greg family who ran a cotton mill in Styal, Cheshire. The stories are told in three distinctive galleries around the working textile machinery operated from the original waterwheel. The first gallery tells the story of Samuel Greg who built the mill in 1784 and his descendants. The second gallery tells the untold stories of the child apprentices who worked in the mill through poetic text. The third gallery concentrates on the power and machinery used to run the mill from the iron waterwheel. The graphics had to conform to the National trust's corporate brand.
