The Pencil of Nature: The Work of WHF Talbot

Major exhibition of the work of 19th century photographer Fox Talbot at the National Media Museum, featuring many photographs from the museum’s collection which had never been on public display before. The exhibition offered a design challenge of how to display very small faded photographs in the low lighting levels required for conservation reasons, and still make the exhibition look interesting! The branding and marketing print for the exhibition and international conference were also designed by Imelda Kay whilst Head of Design at the museum before starting Studio K.
