From Dangermouse to Bill & Ben

Major temporary exhibition at the Lowry to celebrate 25 years of animation by Cosgrove Hall, the Manchester animation company responsible for the children’s classics including Dangermouse, Count Duckula and the recent remaking of Bill & Ben. Original artwork, animation cels and models were displayed alongside interactive tables explaining the principles of making picture move. The centrepiece was a life-size set of Bill & Ben complete with a six foot ‘Weed’ and visitors could act out a scene and watch it on a monitor.
